The holidays can be a very hard time for families that have lost a child. In 2013 some of our very close friends lost their little girl, Giulianna. We wanted to do something to honor her life and memory as well as the lives of other children that had passed away.
We teamed up with Palliative Care and sMiles 4 Sammy to start an annual Angel Ornament Dinner in 2014. If you have lost a child due to medical illness we would love to have you and your family join us. Dinner and ornament craft supplies are provided.

Join us at Dell Children’s Medical Center as we honor all of our angels, eat great food (thanks to our wonderful friends at sMiles 4 Sammy), and spend an evening with other families that just get it. This event is free, child friendly, and open to ALL families that have lost a child to medical illness.
Registration is required. Please let us know how many adults and children will be in your party.

Wednesday December 11, 2019 we invited families that have lost a child due to medical illness to join us as well as sMiles 4 Sammy and the Palliative Team at Dell Children’s for our 6th annual angel ornament dinner. We love bringing these amazing families together to share memories of all of the children that have passed. These families share stories that fill my heart.

On December 5, 2018 we invited families that have lost a child due to medical illness to join us as well as sMiles 4 Sammy and the Palliative Team at Dell Children’s for our 5th annual angel ornament dinner. It’s hard to imagine that we started this 5 years ago, but it has become one of our favorite events each year for sure.

On December 10, 2016 we met a local girl scout troop and some friends of Casey in the Mueller Park behind the hospital to decorate the angel tree. The ornaments used to decorate this tree were all made to honor a child that has earned his/her wings.

On December 8, 2016 we hosted our 3rd Annual Angel Ornament Dinner with sMiles 4 Sammy and Dell’s Palliative Care Team. We had a lovely evening with some wonderful families.
