RULES:

  • Request must be for a child with special needs
  • Request must be for a free standing item- we do NOT do room makeovers or home construction
  • Submit your request between January 1st and January 31st

Do you have an organizational or furniture challenge with your special needs child? We know that storing and organizing all of the different medical supplies, therapy tools, paperwork, etc can be hard. We want to help. Each year we will invite families in the greater Austin area to submit their requests. This is NOT income based; this is NOT a “most votes wins” contest. We will review the requests and select one winner.

Submissions are open from January 1st-January 31st. We will select and announce the winner on Valentine’s Day. Winners will be announced publicly on our social media sites as well as contacted directly. The build will start shortly after the winner is selected. Depending on the size of the project it may be completed in weeks, but it may take a little longer if it is a large scale creation.

Adult family members (dad, mom, grandpa, aunt, etc) are encouraged, but not required, to participate in the creating process. You will be able to learn or sharpen some of your skills and be able to say that you built whatever it may be for your child. All of the supplies, tools, and master skills are provided by Casey’s Circle and Timber Hearts at no charge.

How to Apply:
Applying is easy! All you need to do is send us an email. In your email include…

  • Your Name
  • Your Email
  • Your Phone Number
  • Your Address
  • Your Child’s Name
  • Your Child’s Age
  • Your Child’s Primary Diagnosis
  • Your Child’s Facebook or blog (if you have one – not required)
  • A brief description of your furniture or organizational challenge
    This can be a written description, a video showing the space and challenge itself, photos, hand drawn sketch or whatever you think will best help us to understand your needs

To be officially registered for our annual give away all emails must be sent DURING the contest period (January 1st-January 31st). Emails received before January 1st and/or after January 31st will not be considered for the contest.

We can only pick one winner a year, but don’t worry if you are not picked. You are welcome to re-enter the following year. We also have our Home Modifications Catalog that can help you come up with some ideas that you can do on your own. We have lots of photos that show ways people have modified their homes to better fit their needs. Some modifications are fully redone rooms where others are simple fixes or using an item in a non-typical way.
